Christian Gifts and What They Mean to Me!
Christian gifts and what they mean to me has always been an interesting topic for me since my youth. From the time you are born God bestows on you a gift that you can use to bring honor and glory to his name along with finding success and happiness on this plain of existences. I remember that I use to ask my parents how I was going to be able to find out what my gift was and they would always tell me that I would just know. Either God would tell it to me or I would have some sudden realization one day. These answers didn’t seem to ideal to me because at the time I couldn’t hear the voice of God and I didn’t just want to be surprise so I decided to see what I liked to do and what I was good at to see if it was one of my Christian gifts.
I did various sports as a child and as I grew I learned that I enjoyed a lot of things but I wasn’t neccessarly good at them. Well not good enough for it to be beneficial to the body of Christ. Or so I thought anyway. So I tried many other new things with each passing year I always kept in mind how this could affect the kingdom. Questions like, Could I bring more people to Christ through this? Would this please God? And, of course, “How would God get the glory out of this?” They constantly ran through my head and I picked and decided the various activities based off those questions in hopes of finding one that fit.
At times I found myself off put and frustrated by my lack of knowledge and how I was always waiting for a huge sing from God to just point me in the right direction.
With each new thing I tried I found out htat even through my failures God could still get the glory and my mind set should always be something that is pleasing to him.
